Influences And Recollections of a Musical Mind

Waiting For Columbus by Little Feat was an outstanding live album released in 1977. A rock band by definition, Little Feat added healthy doses of soul, New Orleans funk, country, and the Tower Of Power horn section into their delicious musical gumbo. Standout tracks for me include Time Loves A Hero, Dixie Chicken, Sailin’ Shoes, Willin’, All That You Dream, Fat Man In The Bathtub, and Don’t Bogart That Joint. I never got to see Little Feat live, but listening to this outstanding album is the next best thing. The excitement and grooves these guys laid down practically demand you get up and start dancing around and smiling…powerful music indeed!
